At the Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (TIPS)’s journal club meeting held online on February 15, 2021, the topic of “COPE community and publication ethics” was presented by N. Assar. In this meeting, first, COPE was introduced as a community providing advice to editors and publishers to guarantee high ethical standards. Next, some aspects of publication ethics in particular, research and publication misconduct were discussed. Most likely in the next sessions of TIPS journal club, topics of plagiarism, falsification, fabrication, conflict of interest, authorship, and retractions will be criticized.
